The Infinity Pool
This is an infinity pool we built in East Lothian over the winter of 2019 and 2020.
The basic idea was to create a relatively long thin pool with a stainless steel edge at the far end so that the pool water looks continuous with the sea.
The pool was built with block walls and lined with Firestone EPDM from Gordon Low Products Ltd. It also has two heartwood larch decks and a continuous trickle of water from a burn higher up keeps it brim-full.
**Update August 2022**
The infinity pool we designed and built a few years back has always had beautiful reflections. Now it has well established aquatic plants too. Today butterflies and bees were feeding on the water mint flowers and the flag iris is shoulder high. There are lots of big water lily flowers too.
