Henderson Row Garden
The owner of this front garden in Edinburgh’s Henderson Row had reached the end of her tether with her overgrown, high maintenance front garden. She asked garden designer, Carolyn Grohmann, to come up with ways of simplifying the garden, reducing the maintenance, but still allowing her to enjoy plants in her garden.
We cleared the garden of all existing vegetation, painted the railings and gate and then levelled the garden. Using black slate on the entrance path, black basalt setts to form circles and edging and two different kinds of gravel to give a contrasting effect, we built the garden according to Carolyn’s design and within budget.
The client was delighted with the finish and expressed this delight by making a large batch of macarons for the guys who had worked on the project.
