Harmonising with Nature in the Trossachs
Our client wanted to enhance this area of naturally wet ground for both her family and the local wildlife.
Small, unlined ponds, as well as a boardwalk, shelter and bench give this space further purpose and interest for both.
The boardwalk, constructed from larch, leads you down to the planed Douglas Fir shelter and bench. These elements were designed and built by the team in late spring 2022.
With harmony and biodiversity being key elements and considerations in the project, the team wanted to ensure their work had minimal impact and disruption on the existing flora and fauna. They built a wooden trackway for the digger to travel along so that it did not sink into the wet ground and to stop the tracks pulling up and scarring the ground during the construction of the boardwalk.
